ROMAN GULMAN

Born in Kyiv, Roman Golman was drawn to the art world from an early age. He became acquainted with the magical world of the Impressionist current, fell in love with it and kept on exploring and deepening into Russian and French Impressionist artists. To this day one can immediately notice great Impressionist influence in Gulman’s works – especially in his color combinations and in his expressive presentation. Furthermore, Goleman draws inspiration from everything that catches his eye – textures, video-clips, fashion shows, magazines, movies.

Everything enters his consciousness – is later used in his portraits. As a result, Gulman’s paintings are rich in expressive elements, lines and games of light and shadow that merge each time into one unique portrait, and one unique glimpse into raw human nature.
