Dubi Ronen

Dubi Ronen lives and creates in the streets, paints with concrete and on concrete with a method he developed. Bachelor’s and Master’s degree graduate of HIT. Exhibited in “fresh color” several times and in group and solo exhibitions in Israel and around the world. His works also take part in private collections. The gray and almost anonymous material take on a new meaning in his works, there is an alchemical attempt to turn a stone into gold and enter into the gallery’s holy of holies. In Dubi Ronen’s paintings you can always see the horizon line, a horizontal line that emphasizes the contrast that preoccupies him in all his design and artistic pursuits. The same applies to the use of the concrete material. The concrete is very hard but also breaks easily (fragile); it has a contrast that preoccupies the artist – masculinity versus femininity, temporary versus eternal.
