Alex Gal’s work reflects her desire to create order, beauty, and harmony within a complex world. She uses graphic motifs, colors, and compositions- key characteristics of her artistic language.

In the midst of a successful career in high-tech marketing, Alex chose to follow her passion for art and devote herself to painting full-time. This transition became a journey of self-discovery and expression.

Today, her work centers on her figurative portrait series “Secular Sainthood,” exploring femininity, presence, strength, and identity. Alex sees the women she paints as individuals who experience life in all its complexity, yet find the strength to keep moving forward. For her, this quiet resilience is itself an expression of strength – one worthy of attention and contemplation.

Their halos are not religious symbols, but expressions of the secular holiness she sees within them. Their gaze hints at stories left open to interpretation.

“The Herd” comprises dozens of Dala horses, each reimagined by Alex. The work explores the tension between belonging and individuality.
