Oleg Babich (1976) is a visual artist, illustrator, creative director, and author of children’s literature and comics. After receiving a master’s degree in architecture, Oleg devoted himself to fine art and creative activities, continuing his family’s artistic dynasty, which originated in the XVIII century. In Oleg`s art, nature as higher power and the hidden connection between forms of life are the primary materials for creating a story full of mystery, love, and irony. Tender Beast is the major ongoing project of Oleg Babich. It is a visual story about the prehistoric era, “the childhood of mankind”, when humans used tails for balance and dinosaurs were so cute you could ride one. Nowadays, the magical voice of Nature is almost not hearable inside the big, glorious brains of Homo Sapiens. Oleg`s art is an effort to find the innocent part of human nature that probably once was lost.
